This event is only 50% uphill. The other 50% is...downhill. Down a steep hill. Do you go right down the middle or do you "zig" your way down? This is a heated debate amongst us. I think we will see many styles come race day. Do what works for you. Tip: Do whatever causes the least pounding on your legs and toes. straight down is less distance but you have to have your breaks on.
This is a competitive field of athletes and competitors. People will be pushed to their limits. We will have beverages and food stations for the runners. There will also be a "water hose" on "The Hill" to spray down anyone who needs a spray at anytime. Expected temperatures are 89 degrees with no shade. As a precaution there will be a paramedic on the property.
